Finned and smooth ethylene furnace tubes

Tube, pipe, fittings and flanges

Want to boost ethylene furnace efficiency or extend your production cycles? Look into our smooth and finned Alleima® 353 MA furnace tubes, which are ideal for steam cracking and other demanding high-temperature applications. Alloyed with nitrogen and rare earth metals (REMs), they deliver high performance in oxidizing, carburizing and nitriding environments.

Avoid coking and cracking

Ethylene furnace tubes are essential in steam cracking furnaces, which break down hydrocarbon feedstocks into smaller molecules like ethylene and propylene, crucial for petrochemical production. Due to the extreme operation conditions, which include temperatures ranging from 800°C to 1100°C (1472°F to 2012°F) as well as exposure corrosive gases and thermal stress, your tube choice is critical.

Longer production runs

We offer a wide range of furnace tube, recommending Alleima® 353 MA* for ethylene furnaces due to its high creep strength, carburization resistance and oxidation properties – extending production before decoking. Alleima® 353 MA tube, with excellent oxidation resistance, support longer production runs.

100% ultrasonically tested

Our ethylene tube is supplied in a wrought condition, with a smooth or finned design. All tubes undergo 100% ultrasonic testing to ensure they are defect-free.

Benefits of finned tube:

  • Enhanced heat transfer, due to increased surface area.
  • Better temperature control, preventing hotspots or cold spots.
  • Improved mechanical strength, resisting mechanical vibrations and extending tube life.
  • Reduced fouling by promote shedding of deposits and maintaining efficient heat transfer.
