Big ambitions may require a finned tube

Tube, pipe, fittings and flanges

Are you aiming for higher output in your boiler or furnace, but facing challenges with coking or carburization? Look into our corrosion-resistant finned tubes. They enhance heat transfer, resist carburization and extend performance runs – all without requiring a significant increase in the size of your boiler or furnace.

Our finned tube are designed not only to resist high temperatures but also to optimize heat exchange between fluids, enhancing thermal conductivity in a compact form. For ethylene tube, we recommend Alleima® 353 MA*, an austenitic, chromium-nickel stainless steel contributes to extending tube life and reducing maintenance across a wide range of high-temperature applications.

100% ultrasonically tested

Alloyed with nitrogen and rare earth metals (REM), Alleima® 353 MA is characterized by high performance in oxidizing, carburizing and nitriding environments. Our ethylene tube is supplied in a wrought condition, with a smooth or finned design. All tubes undergo 100% ultrasonic testing to ensure they are defect-free.

Common challenges:

  • Fouling and deposits due to oxidation and cracking
  • Corrosion due to high temperatures and corrosive fluids
  • Thermal fatigue due to cracking in fins or tubes
  • Mechanical stress due to thermal cycling, creep, etc.

Benefits of finned tube:

  • Enhanced heat transfer, due to increased surface area.
  • Better temperature control, preventing hotspots or cold spots.
  • Improved mechanical strength, resisting mechanical vibrations and extending tube life.
  • Reduced fouling by promote shedding of deposits and maintaining efficient heat transfer.
